LAWMATO is Tom Tong’s “A Lawyer’s Promise to the Masses” brought to life.  Tom is an experienced international law partner at one of the world’s top law firms.  Throughout his career, Tom has helped many clients in his practice.  His philosophy is to give back and help those in need, which is why Tom has also provided guidance and feedback gratis to many people who approached him. 

 

While working on a matter for a telemedicine client in 2020, Tom had the idea to create an on-demand app that gives people and businesses the ability to find and consult with a lawyer virtually while providing lawyers another avenue to offer their services.  In August 2021, Tom brought his vision to reality and launched the LAWMATO app. 

 

Gone are the days of searching the internet and calling or emailing law offices for information about a lawyer’s specialty, charge rates and availability.  By providing the ability to find, meet with and pay a lawyer for a consultation securely, virtually and conveniently, LAWMATO is helping individuals, businesses and lawyers.  

 

For clients, LAWMATO brings lawyers to clients for on-demand consultation and legal services​ via smart device or web application.  Within minutes, you can find a lawyer in your area with the expertise you need to schedule a consultation to help with your legal matters.  LAWMATO provides information about lawyer specialties, geographic location and consultation charge rates.  Once you choose a lawyer for your needs and provide basic required information, you can contact a lawyer to schedule a consultation.  In addition, LAWMATO provides a secure payment platform that charges the client for the consultation. 

 

For lawyers, LAWMATO is the perfect platform to strengthen professional brand, expand access to new clients, increase efficiency and meet with clients virtually.  Once a potential client contacts the lawyer in LAWMATO, the lawyer can check for potential conflicts that would bar her or him from consulting with the client, provide an engagement letter outlining the lawyer-client relationship and virtually consult with the client.  Upon conclusion of the consultation, LAWMATO processes the client’s legal fee payment for the lawyer.  Additionally, lawyers are able to find other lawyers for legal expertise outside their specialty to provide more robust services to clients.
